Azdec's Stealth Infra-Com system is a short range digitally encoded infra-red communications system for secure and interference free mobile voice communications which can be constructed to either military or industrial standards. The system allows mobile operators to communicate, with full duplex voice between each other's area and/or with a central communications system, without the use of radio. Multi-channel or enhanced Infra-Com systems can provide coverage from small selective areas to complete buildings, ships, vehicles, control centres or aircraft and allows complete freedom of movement with exceptionally clear digital communications. The low powered infra-red, poses no health hazard, even though areas of up to 10,000 square metres can be covered.

Significant advantages include the fact that the envelope of reception is controlled and totally predictable. Infra-Com offers interference free communications, even in areas of high electrical radiation and noise, and the equipment emits effectively no electrical signals to affect sensitive electronic systems or unstable materials.

The stealth, well contained signals are practically impossible to detect, at even modest distances, when compared with low powered radio. Mobile users can be provided with noise attenuating, single sided or ultra lightweight headsets. The digitally encoded Infra-Com provides crystal clear mobile two way voice communications, high security with no radio emmissions and true stealth communications. Azdec offers development facilities to allow for the production of Infra-Red Communications to customer requirements.

Azdec was acquired by Link Microtek, the UK manufacturer and supplier of RF and microwave components, subsystems and instrumentation, in Dec 2009.  

The acquisition ensures the long-term future of the Azdec brand and products. Azdec now operates as a subsidiary of Link Microtek
